Marla Jo Brown

Marla Jo Brown, 61, of Okolona, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

She was born November 5, 1961, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to Thomas Burton and Frances Wingfield Burton Hickman. 

Marla was a faithful mother who enjoyed crocheting and reading.  Some of her favorite times were camping and fishing with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her father.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John William Brown; her son, John David Brown, Junior of Arkadelphia; her daughter, Christina Marie Brown of Okolona; her sisters, Belinda McCray of La Mesa, California and Brenda Smith of Prescott, Arkansas; her brother, Kennith Burton of Caddo Valley, Arkansas; her mother, Frances Hickman of Caddo Valley, Arkansas, and three grandchildren.

Marla’s graveside service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Bethel Cemetery in Okolona, Arkansas, with Brother Jeff Efird officiating.

Pall bearers will be John David Brown Junior, Dave Welch, Dustin Howell, Justin Land, Ethan Burton and Bill Myers.
