Mark Anthony Stalcup

Mark Anthony Stalcup, 64, of Sherwood Arkansas went to see the Lord on May 31, 2023.  Mark was born in Fort Lauderdale Florida and then moved to Blytheville until his adult years and moved to the Little Rock area.

Mark was predeceased by his father, Charley James Stalcup and his mother-in-law, Linda Lee Joy.  Mark leaves behind his beautiful wife of 16 years, Dawn-Michele Stalcup, his mother Mary Faye Stalcup, his father-in-law Donald Owen (Patricia) Ainsworth, three sons, Jeremy (Katie), Justin (Lyndsey), and James Thomas Stalcup, his two sisters, Sheryl (Ron) Miller and Sandy (David) Gray, his brother Michael Stalcup, his three sister-in-laws, Christina (Billy) Campbell, Laurie Ainsworth, and Billie-Jo Ainsworth, his grandchildren, Jordan, Anthony, Lance, Jayden, Liam, Kimora, Cruz, Moses, Ezra, Elijah, Addison, and Corey, his nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and many friends.

Mark was a hard working man, an ambitious and entrepreneurial real estate investor where he found many opportunities like flipping homes, surveying timber land, and building a portfolio of rental mobile homes.  Mark never met a stranger.  His love for life was contagious by anyone he met.  Mark made all he encountered feel welcomed and accepted. Mark loved anything to do with being in the water including the ocean, the beach, the lake and fishing.  Dawn-Michele called Mark the ocean because of the treasures he brought to her and he called her his rock for always being there to love and support him.

Mark always wanted to wear his “Bula Bula” shirts (Hawaiian). Mark enjoyed golfing with his friends, fishing with his wife, playing softball, playing shuffleboard, dancing, music, watching movies (favorite movie “Father Where Art Thou”).  Mark was a highly emotional man.  Mark wanted good for all.  Mark treasured his family which meant the world to him.  You could always tell Mark was in the room by his contagious laugh.  Mark would give the shirt off his back to anyone.  Mark loved to sit around the campfire with his family and friends.

Mark loved The Lord and would speak to people who needed the Lord by sharing scripture from the heart to those that needed to be uplifted.  Mark was a special husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.  Mark will be missed but he will always be here in our hearts and his memories will be lasting.
