Mark Sheppard

Mark Robert Hugh Sheppard, 66, passed away Sept 24, 2021 at UAMS after a long battle with cancer.  Mark was born In 1955 at RAF, Rostrup, Germany to Desmond Eric William Hercules Sheppard of Dublin Ireland and Marjorie Bertha Hutchinson Sheppard of Whitehead, N. Ireland.

Mark Received his Masters in Engineering from St. Johns College, Cambridge.  While at Cambridge, he was awarded a Blue for water polo (the highest honour bestowed on an athlete).

Mark was General Manager for Lafferty Equipment Manufacturing, Inc in North Little Rock Arkansas for the past 14 years.  He began his career in the UK with TNN and GKN.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy of 30 years, his sons, Robert and Brent, his sister Alison Hallatt (Nick) his niece Claire Cahill his nephew Peter Hallatt, two grandnephews and two grandnieces.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Desmond, and his mother Marjorie.

Mark will be very sorely missed by family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Mark’s life in Florida to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to American Cancer Society .
