Marjorie Posey Thornton, age 86, of Donaldson, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Malvern. She was born October 3, 1930 in Brown Springs, Arkansas to the late James Anderson and Josie Cupit Posey. Marjorie worked with Southwestern Bell and later at Wal-Mart. She was a Primitive Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Paul Thornton and her daughter, Paula Lynn Thornton.
Survivors are one daughter, Jamie Lei Shuebrook and husband, Karl of Cape Coral, Florida; one brother, James Anderson Posey of Brown Springs; two sisters, Ruby Jean Tugwell of Midway, Barbara Sue Jackson and husband, Elwin of Bismarck; two grandchildren, Kimberly Louise Shuebrook and Jared Dakota Shuebrook.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 20th at Macedonia Cemetery near Dalark. Visitation will be 1:00 pm Thursday until service at the Macedonia Cemetery Pavilion.
