Marjorie Sossamon Mandrell, age 91, of Little Rock, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at her home. She was born February 21, 1925 in Clark County Arkansas to the late Harvey Alfred and Eva West Sossamon. Marjorie was a retired state employee and a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John Ira Mandrell.
Survivors are two daughters, Iris Mandrell Kellum of Sparkman, Arkansas and Linda Rose Mandrell of Benton, Arkansas; one brother, Jerry West Sossamon of Manning, Arkansas; one sister, Betty Smith of Sparkman, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Michael Mandrell Emerson, John Scott Butler and Angela Bennett and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 pm Sunday, September 11th at Golden Cemetery near Arkadelphia with Dr. John Small officiating. Visitation will be 2-3 pm Sunday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
