Marion Randall “Randy” Witkowski, also known as Hatchet Jack, 60, of North Little Rock passed away at home surrounded by his family, Thursday, May 2, 2019. He was born January 16, 1959 in Pulaski County, Arkansas to M.E. and Ruth Witkowski.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman who had a passion for being outdoors. Randy was a perfectionist when it came to his garden. Randy was a beloved member of the Crystal Hill Community, through fish fries and employing lots of people in the community. He shortly became a pillar among its people. As the owner of Hatchet Jacks Sports Shop he touched many lives through his passion for fishing and many charitable contributions.
Randy was a devoted and loving father who was determined to provide the best life possible for his family. Randy chose to be baptized January 31, 2019 at the Church of Rock Creek symbolizing his recommitment to our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Via; four children, Jennifer and James Oxford, Jacob Witkowski, Alex and Haley Witkowski and Margaret Via; his granddaughter, Madi Oxford who called him “Gumpy”; siblings, Marilyn and Tommy Wright, Steve and Becky Witkowski, Susi Witkowski; and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, M.E. and Ruth Witkowski; two siblings, Georgia Rogers and Tommy Witkowski.
A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
