Marion Weis

Marion Robert Weis, 76, of Little Rock, passed away May 1, 2012. Born in Malden, Missouri to Charles E. and Mary Melvina Jobe Wiess, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and of the Presbyterian faith. He worked at the War Memorial Golf Course for the past ten years, following his career as a newspaper composing room manager.
Preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Charolette McCullough and a brother, Jim Wiess, Sr., he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Gibbo Weis; daughter, Linda A. Weis of Sherwood; sons, Francis Raimer of Rhode Island and David Raimer of Florida; brothers, Buddy Wiess of North Little Rock and Bill Wiess of Maumelle; grandchildren, Heather Johnson and Holli Raimer, both of North Little Rock and Allen Raimer of Virginia; nephew, Jim Wiess, Jr. of Washington; and his cat, Precious, whom he dearly loved.
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.).
