Marilyn Sue Pearce

   Marilyn Sue Nolting Pearce passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 20, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born November 13, 1933 in Little Rock to Lucille and James Nolting, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jeanette Martin, and her husband, Charles L. Pearce. She is survived by her sister, Betty Pinckney; son, James Pearce (Phyllis); daughter, Sharon Dudderar (Louis); grandchildren, Lauren Caldwell (Thomas), Sarah Fitzmaurice (Matthew),Gordon Dudderar (Jordan) and great-grandson, Beau Caldwell. She is also survived by four nieces, and a host of extended family.

   Marilyn was a lifelong Methodist, however, she was also the organist for Sylvania Presbyterian Church for a number of years, and she always graciously filled in as organist at any church that asked her. She graduated from Little Rock High School in 1950 and attended Little Rock Junior College until marriage and motherhood took over.

   In July 1957, Marilyn began work at Pulaski Heights Bank as a bookkeeper, was promoted to Assistant Cashier in 1964, then Cashier and Vice-President of Operations in 1980, finally retiring in July 2007. She was known for her attention to detail, personal attention given to her customers, especially the older ones, and her positive outlook throughout those 50 years.

   Visitation will be held at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knodel Ct., Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 on Wednesday, April 26 at 12:00 with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Old Austin Cemetery at Ward, Arkansas.
