Marilyn Melikian Copeland

Marilyn Doris Melikian Copeland, 78, of Little Rock passed away Friday, October 20th, 2023. She was born in Scott, Arkansas to the late Lonnell and Dorothy Lakey on March 11, 1945. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Carolyn Evans, her first husband, Benny Melikian, her second Walter Eugene "Gene" Copeland, and her daughter-in-law, Wendie Long Melikian. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sister Dorothy (Dottie) Lakey and her brother Michael Lakey, sons Scott Copeland (Christy), Benny Melikian (Teresa), Tom Melikian (Kimberley), and Tim Melikian (Cindy). Her nine grandchildren, Lance, Sydney, Laine, Josh, Alyssa, Noah, Caleb, Kierra, Moriah, seven great grandchildren, and extended family. Marilyn was also loved and cared for by her two loving friends and neighbors, Mike Patrick and Anne McInturff. 

The joy of Marilyn's life was her family. She loved family gatherings, playing board games, and craft projects with friends and family. Marilyn will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Visitation will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 27, 2023 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, funeral will begin at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Mulberry Cemetery in England, Arkansas.
