Marie Thomas

Marie (Moore) Thomas, of Jacksonville, was born December 25, 1931 and passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 43 years. She held the position of Genealogy Consultant and was the matriarch of her family who set an example for all her family and friends. She was a dedicated nurse and a great example to anyone who met her.
She is survived by four daughters, Shirley Thomas (Roger Johnson), Carol Bush-Watson, Gwen (Dale) Rowe and Brenda Jolley, all of Jacksonville; special sons, Mike Jolley, of Cabot and Dan McElderry, of Jacksonville; seventeen grandchildren; thirty two great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Creasey, of Pea Ridge and Francis Moore and Dorothy Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Walter Thomas; parents, John Calvin and Nona Moore; son, Lloyd "Tooter" Thomas and his wife, Deloma; grandson, Joshua Thomas and five brothers.
The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Marvin Ashford and Home Health Nurse, Flo Perkins for their loyalty and dedication to not only Marie, but also to her family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jacksonville, with viewing prior to service. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
