Marie Keesee

Marie Speer Keesee, 99, of North Little Rock died Monday, September 7, 2015. She was the daughter of Roy and Daisy Speer in Tinsman, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland R. Keesee and five brothers, Hershal, Edward, Daniel, Lee Roy and Billy.
She is survived by her brother, Norman Speer (Mieko) of Houston, Texas and nine nieces and nephews.
She worked for Arkansas Power and Light Company until she married Roland and they went into Residential Construction business for 25 years. After his death she started a walking program: 2 miles, 5 days each week for over 30 years. She gave credit for her long active life to the walking program and good genes. She was asked to fill-in one day for a friend at the Youth Home Thrift Store, that "fill-in" lasted 22 years. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church and Singles Sunday School Department.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Baptist Children Home or any charity of choice.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., at Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 E. C Avenue, North Little Rock. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Philadelphia Cemetery in Grant County.
