Marie Davis

Marie Parker Davis age 89 of Arkadelphia, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in Arkadelphia. She was born June 10, 1918 in Donaldson, AR the daughter of the late Clarence Earl and Lillie Irene Evans Parker. She was a retired Grocer and Avon Representative and a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother Donald Parker and a sister Nina Mae Holcomb. Mrs. Davis was the widow of Walter Egbert Davis.

Survivors include one son, Gene Davis and his wife Ginger of Friendship, one brother, John Parker and his wife Judy of Malvern, two sisters, Betty Howell of Stephens, AR and Patricia Claxton and her husband Mike of Little Rock, three grandsons David, Eric, and Brian Davis and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, December 29, 2007 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Hollis McDermott officiating with burial in the Ouachita Cemetery near Donaldson. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
