Marian Kumpe Surrett

Marian Frances Surrett, 81, of Little Rock passed away April 8, 2024.  She was the third of ten children born to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Pifer) Kumpe.   Beside her parents, she was also preceded in death by five siblings; her husband, Homer Surrett, Sr., and their daughter, Karen Sue Surrett.

Survivors include her only son, Home C. Surrett, Jr. (Pam); only granddaughter, Karen Nicole Surrett; two great-grandchildren:   Bryan and Hayden Dillard; and four siblings:  Evelyn Basel, Ernie Kumpe, Carlyon Frederick and Sandra Upchurch; along with extended family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 11, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  She will be laid to rest at Ivy Chapel Cemetery, Little Rock.

Marian worked in banking, and for Raytheon before retiring from Teletype Corporation.  She enjoyed deer hunting with her family and was gifted at arranging flowers into beautiful arrangements.  She is loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
