Marian Elizabeth Montgomery, 83, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, May 14, 2018. She was born August 26, 1934 in Des Arc, Arkansas to Newton and Nora Moody Neighbors. She was a founding member of Levy Church of Christ. She was editor of the White River Journal, worked as executive secretary for M.R.D.D.S. (Arkansas Children's Colony) and a member of the National Association of Realtors. Nothing brought her more pleasure than raising her family and always having them around her.
Marian is survived by her sons, Roger, Keith (Dianne) and Patrick Montgomery; granddaughter, Catherine Montgomery; great-granddaughter, Yazmine Kassees; step-grandson, Jeremy Humphreys; great-step-grandchildren, Cody and Alexa King, and Carys Humphreys; and siblings, Charles Neighbors, Mike Neighbors, and Margaret Cooper. She was also a foster parent to numerous children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Elmer Fay Montgomery; parents; brother, Newton Neighbors, Jr. and sister, Barbara Young.

A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2018 at Levy Church of Christ, 5124 Camp Robinson Road, North Little Rock. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m., at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas.
