Willie Marguerite Deaver Harrison died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Arkadelphia. She was born on September 6, 1920 to David and Allie Stacks Deaver. Marguerite grew up in the Hill Creek Community near Plumerville. In 1936, she married Charles Griswood Harrison, and later moved to Arkadelphia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Marguerite worked at Levi Straus and was the owner of Marguerite's Dress Shop. Known for her hospitality and great cooking, Marguerite took great joy in serving others. Her chocolate cake and chocolate pie were coveted by everyone who ever ate at her table. No one ever left her house hungry.

She and Charlie moved to Camden in 1977 and became active members of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie and their daughter, Gloria Ann. Survivors include her children, Paul (Barbara) Harrison of Berryville, AR; Charles (Sharon) Harrison and Ronald (Judy) Harrison both of Arkadelphia, AR; Kay Harrison of Ft. Worth, TX; Jamie Harrison of Camden, AR; six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Pastors Don Phillips and Ronnie Hardin will conduct a celebration of life service at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 5th. A short graveside service, conducted by Charlie Littlefield, will be at 3:00 PM at Plumerville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Harrison, David Harrison, Matthew Harrison, Eric Harrison, Randy Scrape, and Charlie Littlefield. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Scrape and Alec Littlefield. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
