Margie Lorene Vail

Margie Lorene Vail, 86, of Little Rock passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020.  She was vborn in Kirk, Arkansas on August 2, 1933 to the late Simmie Edward and Hattie Mae Rayburn Harrod.  Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Bobby Gene Vail and by seven brothers and sisters.  She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Charles Edward Vail (Christy) of Little Rock, Debbie Vail of Maumelle, and Barbara Jean Howard of Little Rock; four grandchildren,  three great-grandchildren and her sister, Patricia Mayfield (Steve) of Jacksonville.

Margie was a member of Lifeline Baptist Church and was an Avon Rep that made the Presidents Club.  She had many loves and passions which included caring for babies in local day cares, tending to her yard and gardening alongside Bobby and all her animals and pets that she had a “bite” for whenever one came around.  Margie had worked in the Food Service Department at Mills High School for a number of years as well.

Funeral service will be Thursday, 11:30 a.m., March 12, at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood) with visitation one hour prior to service from 10:30-11:30.  Burial following in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.  Services officiated by Bro.
