Margie Fern McGuire

Margie Fern McGuire, age 71, of Glenwood, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at home with her family at her bedside.

She was born on October 4, 1951, in Delight, AR. She was the daughter of Jack Wilson and Lolaphyrn Nolan Wilson.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  On March 13, 1970, she married the true love of her life, Don Glynn McGuire. Together, they worked hard to build a life that they both loved.

Margie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family with all her heart. She was always there to support and help her family in every endeavor. If her boys needed help with anything, she was there to work by their side. If her grandkids had an event, she was there to support and cheer them on. There was never any room for doubt about how much she loved her family.

Margie loved anything and everything to do with horses. She always enjoyed horseback riding up in the mountains with her husband, friends, and family. She and Don started teaching their boys and grandkids how to ride horses from an early age. She looked forward to “horse camp” every year, where she took in the beautiful scenery and enjoyed the company of her friends.

Margie was always a hard worker. She never sat idle. She had many jobs over the years. Her most recent employer was Farm & Ranch Feed. She loved her work family with all her heart and enjoyed working with the customers. Margie never met a stranger. She had an amazing, outgoing, and blunt personality, you always knew what she thought and where you stood. Margie enjoyed working by her husband’s side on the farm, where they raised cattle and horses. She had a passion for bailing hay and her John Deere tractor. She also enjoyed camping and fishing with her family and friends.

Margie was a faithful member of Lodi Freewill Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Don McGuire of Glenwood; her two sons, Donny McGuire and his girlfriend, Nicole, of Glenwood, and Nicky McGuire and his wife, Melanie, of Prescott; her grandchildren, Karissa McGuire, Trent McGuire, Levin McGuire, Hudson McGuire, Halley Hearnsberger and Tye McGuire; her faithful and loving blue heeler, Roxie Fern; and her special friends, Sue Gaines and Tammy Gaines, both of Delight.
