Margie Hicks

Margie Lee Williams Hicks was born June 18, 1923, and passed away at Cabot Nursing and Rehab on September 14, 2010. She had lived in the Oak Grove Community of Lonoke County since 1942. Margie was retired from Kellwood Manufacturing in Lonoke. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Margie was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Hicks and son J. L. Hicks, her parents, A. J. and Nora Bland Williams, a foster brother, Cecil Cook, two sisters, Madie Pankey and Imogene Howell, and a daughter-in-law, Sandy Hicks. She is survived by two daughters, Duffie Hicks Gibson (Kenneth) and Nelda Hicks Harwell (Clarence); two sons, Bennie (Lyn) Hicks and Randy Hicks, all of Austin; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous family members and friends.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
