Margie Florence Pollard

Margie Florence Pollard (Chitwood) beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 18, 2025, at the age of 77.

She is survived by her husband of almost 47 years, Dickie of Conway, Arkansas; daughters Mari Grisham (Bob) of Memphis, Tennessee, Nancy Harrod of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Emily Wallis (Andy) of Conway, Arkansas; her siblings Paul (Eileen) Chitwood of Salem, Illinois, Sue Daniels of Chatham, Illinois, and Betty (Raymond) Clonts of Camden, Indiana; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margie always had a strong faith and she has been reunited with Jesus; one daughter, Barbara “Barbie” Ann; her parents; and one brother, Omer Chitwood. Prior to moving to Conway, Arkansas, in April 2024, she and Dickie were dedicated members of the Windsong Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Margie learned to sew from her mother when she was a teenager and quickly developed into a professional seamstress with exceptional tailoring skills and abilities. She worked at highly recognized clothing retailers in Little Rock, Arkansas including Barbara/Jean and B.Barnetts as well as working from home and serving many personal friends and clients. She was always attentive to detail and made all of her children and grandchildren specially handcrafted items including baby blankets, stuffed animals, and other items all made with care and love.
