Margie Lois Proctor Corpier, age 92, passed away the 4th of January, 2011 after a short illness. Lois was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Margaret Josephine "Maggie" and George Wilbur Proctor. She married Marvin Corpier December 19, 1939. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin her loving husband of 64 years, brother Thomas Proctor, and sisters Della Mae White and Mary Blanche Barnard. She is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Doris Elizabeth Warren and Betty Sue and husband Henry Rosen, niece and nephew-in-law Nancy and Henry McPherson, nephew and niece-in-law George and Geneva Proctor, and many other nieces and nephews. Lois had many dear friends during her life, and one very special friend, Porter Price.
She played on the girls' basketball team when she was in high school. She always said that she was little, but she was a quick and wily guard, and could always anticipate where her opponent was going. She had spunk. Lois had a great sense of humor and loved nothing better than a good joke. She was "young-at-heart" all her life.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood in Sherwood, Arkansas, until she moved to Westbrae Court in Houston, Texas and became a member of Braeburn Valley Baptist Church.
Lois enjoyed Bible study lessons, quilting, embroidery work and loved being a good mother and wife and enjoyed being an exceptionally good cook.
After moving to Houston, Lois participated in numerous activities at Westbrae Court including Bible study classes, watercolor painting, playing Bingo, eating at new restaurants and going on any and all trips planned by Westbrae Court.
To those desiring to present a memorial gift, the family suggests: Braeburn Valley Baptist Church (Building Fund) 7711 South Braeswood Blvd. Houston, Texas 77071 or Any charity of your choice.
