Margene McGuire

Margene Evans McGuire of Arkadelphia, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015. She was born June 13, 1924 near Donaldson, Arkansas to William and Lilly Evans. Margene was an active member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church in Arkadelphia and a retired nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Harrison McGuire; three brothers, Hughel, Leroy and Millard Evans and one sister, Marion Bullock.

She is survived by two sons, James (Judy) McGuire, Michael (Marsha) McGuire; two grandsons, David and Seth McGuire; two granddaughters, Sallie and Sarah McGuire.

The family wishes to express a grateful thank-you to Mercy Hospice for their care of our loved one the past two and one-half years and especially to Nancy Winkle and her staff at Gratitude of Hearts Elderly Care. Nancy, Divine, Joanna, Zina, Linda and Nallele have been earthly angels who gave love, compassion, dignity, respect and friendship during these hard times.

Services will be at 11:00 am Friday, October 16th at Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church with Bro, Ronnie Hardin officiating, Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Donaldson, Visitation will be 10:00 am Friday until service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church or to Meals on Wheels.
