Margarett Garrett
Margarett Garrett, 80, of North Little Rock, formerly of Mayflower, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010. She was of the Baptist faith. She retired as a cafeteria worker aide at Boone Park Elementary where she was known as "Grandma".
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Garrett; her mother, Willie Morse, who died when Margarett was 9 days old; her father, Clifton Morse; her loving step-mother, Alva Morse (grandma) and her brother, Harold Morse. She is survived by four daughters, Barbara (Bobby) Potter, Betty Derrick, Shirley (Glen) Reed and Brenda Hernandez; two sons, Buddy (Rachel) Garrett and David Garrett; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Bud) Holt; two brothers, Willie Frank (Phyllis) Morse and Wayne (Donna Jean) Morse; two dogs, Millie Sweet "P" and Little Bit. "We will miss you Mamaw."
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
