Margaret Rowland

Margaret Rowland, age 94, of Caddo Gap, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019. She was born on May 6, 1924 in London, England, the daughter of Alec John Whitaker and Emma Elizabeth Ottaway Whitaker. On February 21, 1953, she was married to B. D. "Bob" Rowland who preceded her in death on December 29, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Sylvia Lawrence. Margaret was a homemaker and a Christian in her faith. She loved art, especially painting, and she was a wonderful cook. She is survived by four children, Michael Rowland of Sims, Malcolm Rowland of Houston, Texas, Robert Rowland of Caddo Gap and Suzy Mullins of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren, John Rowland, Steven Rowland, Sandra Mun, Deborah Rivero, Jennifer Grant, Parker Mullins and Taylor Mullins; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 31, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood. Interment will be in Black Springs Cemetery. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
