Margaret is survived by her son John Mark Morgan (Debbie) of Little Rock; granddaughter Meredith Morgan (Sam Kaffenberger) of Saline, Michigan, grandson Jennings Morgan (Brittany) of Little Rock, and their mother, Jennifer Morgan of North Little Rock. She is also survived by her four great-grandchildren: Eleanor and Lillian Kaffenberger both of Saline, Michigan, and Woods and Rhett Morgan both of Little Rock. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Mary John Garner.
Margaret was involved in her community serving on Pulaski County Medical Auxiliary, Arkansas Medical Society Auxiliary, Salvation Army Auxiliary, and the Junior League of North Little Rock. She served as the president of the Southern Medical Association Auxiliary. She also served on the boards of Little Rock Woman’s City Club, Arkansas Orchestra Society Guild, and the Mental Health Association. She was a member of Central Baptist Church for many years. Later in life, she converted to Catholicism and joined Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Margaret loved to cook and entertain, hosting many parties and family gatherings. She liked to travel, especially internationally, and visited many countries with her friends. She was a patron of the arts and enjoyed music and theater. Margaret also liked to read and needlepoint. She valued her many friendships, especially in her Timber Creek neighborhood.
Her family would like to express gratitude to her compassionate physician Dr. Joe Buford and her caregivers, who allowed her to remain at home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
