Margaret McLaughlin

Margaret Jean McLaughlin age 85, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life Thursday, March 12, 2015. She was born in Belleville, Kansas December 24, 1929 the daughter of Elizabeth and Dennis Thomas. Margaret and family moved to Arkadelphia in 1974 and were faithful members of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. Margaret worked for Ouachita Baptist University and retired from the Arkadelphia Public School System. Her life revolved around God, her church, choir, her family and her friends. Margaret was a very beloved Mom, Grammer, and Great Grammer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Alfred McLaughlin.

She is survived by her children, Lynda (Kenneth) Dolgner of Spring, TX, Steve (Eileen) McLaughlin of Leesburg, VA and Kim (Byron) Williams of Bismarck, AR, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother, James D. Thomas of Pearland, TX; and one brother-in-law, Bill (Robbie) McLaughlin of Bogata, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 17th at First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Tuesday until service time at First Baptist Church.
