Margaret Antoinette Guanella, 96, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord in Bossier City, Louisiana on Friday, May 1, 2009. She was born in Conway, Arkansas on May 8, 1912 and was the last of nine children. Margaret was a longtime resident of Little Rock and active member of St. Edwards Catholic Church.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Antone and Marie Dussex, of Conway; her beloved husband, Thomas Guanella Sr., in 1954 and her great-grandchild, Bailey Charles Ward. Also preceding her in death were five sisters, Josephine Dussex, Louise Campbell, Julia Luyet, Clara Shellabarger, Marie Dussex; and three brothers, Frank, Tony and Chris Dussex. Margaret is survived by her two sons, Thomas Joseph Guanella, Jr. and wife, Patty, Joseph Anthony Guanella and wife Eleanor; five dearly loved grandchildren, Thomas Alan Guanella, David Anthony Guanella, Laura Ann Ward and husband, Bradley, Tony Guanella and wife Kami and Karen Edwards and husband, John; great-grandchildren, Brandon Thomas Ward, Caroline Grace Ward, Brooks Patrick Ward, Blake Walker Guanella, Trevor Douglas Guanella, Grant Kyle Guanella and Sara Michelle Edwards.
A quiet, kind, prayerful person, Margaret will be missed by all who were touched by her life of deep faith.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 6th, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Little Rock, Rev. Erik Pohlmeier VF will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Luyet, Bradley Ward, Don Shellabarger, David Guanella, Tony Guanella and Michael Gray. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 5th, followed by a Rosary service at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
