Margaret Roberts Dornblaser, 94, of Jacksonville, passed away March 18, 2010. She was born September 21, 1915 in Bayou Meto to John E. and Annie Fowler Arrington.
On July 18, 1933, she married Adril Paul (Red) Roberts and together they operated the Lakewood Service Station in North Little Rock from 1940 to 1966. Margaret operated the station alone while her husband served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. She and Red enjoyed fishing in the lakes of Arkansas. She also enjoyed football games and most other sporting events.
After her husband passed away in 1968, Margaret married Owen F. Dornblaser on June 2, 1969. They operated Owen's White Cottage Restaurant in Little Rock until the early 1980s. They enjoyed traveling after retirement. She and Owen lived in Woodland Hills Nursing Home for several years prior to their deaths.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a son, Billy E. Roberts and several brothers and sisters. Margaret is survived by her son, Thomas E. "Buddy" Roberts of Pottsboro, Texas; her daughter, Shirley A. Bell of St. Peters, Missouri; sister, Drucie Nulick of Kerman, California; half-brother, Bobby Arrington of Little Rock and half-sister, Helen Dailey of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A service honor her life will be held on Monday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 6701 JFK Blvd., No. Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Guy Whitney.
