Margaret Coon

Margaret Patricia "Peggy" Coon, age 76, of Little Rock, went to her heavenly home on March 23, 2018, surrounded by family who loved her dearly. She was born to William and Josephine Coon on December 15, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa, and was the youngest of four children. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, William Coon and Fred Coon. She is survived by her sister, Joline Kaucher (David), who cared for Peggy daily during her yearlong battle with cancer. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Yvonne Coon and Jean Coon, thirteen nieces and nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Peggy was a kind, loving person with a caring heart and a gentle soul. She was truly gifted in her ability to connect with children, always willing to spend time with her nieces and nephews, nurturing their imagination and creativity. She had a special place in her heart for her great-nephew, Harrison, whom she cared for daily from his infancy. Peggy was a member of First Lutheran Church in Little Rock where she faithfully kept the church nursery for twenty-five years.

The family of Peggy Coon would like to extend their appreciation to Hospice Home Care, with utmost gratitude to Chaplain Linda Huggins and Sheila Russell, R.N., for their loving and compassionate care.

A service to celebrate Peggy's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31 at First Lutheran Church. She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ozark, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, 314 E. 8th St., Little Rock, AR 72202.

Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501)224-2200. Peggy's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
