Marcy Cates

Marcy A. Cates, 84, of North Little Rock was called home on Sunday, November 2, 2014. She was born December 3, 1929 to James and Evelyn Whittington. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gearl A. Cates; daughter, Dee Brush and her son, Reed Brown of North Little Rock. She is survived by her son, Leonard Brown, of North Little Rock; daughters, Liz Brown, of North Little Rock, Rachel Dyson, of Houston, Texas; son, William Cates, of North Little Rock; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and drove buses for Pulaski County Special School District. Her passion was nursing and she was a LPN at Doctor's Hospital before going to Baptist Memorial where she worked in Labor and Delivery until she retired.
