Marcia Golden Townsend

Marcia Golden Townsend, age 75, of Norman, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

She was born in Ukiah, California, on August 1, 1949. She is the daughter of Morris and Retha Coffman Golden. She is preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Lonnie Golden and Kenneth Golden; and her sister, Charlotte Howell.

Marcia married the love of her life, Denson Townsend, and spent over 50 years together. Throughout their entire marriage, they spent traveling the country. She was also known for loving a word search and listening to the radio. Marcia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Denson Townsend of Glenwood; her sister, Sharon Warnick of Norman; and her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

The family wanted to say a special thank you to Dougan's Oak Park staff for their wonderful care.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Hopper Cemetery with Bro. Jeremy Graves officiating.
