Marcia Ann Grinde Griffin

Marcia Ann (Grinde) Griffin, age 75, passed away peacefully in her home on September 29, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Marcia was predeceased by her father, Robert Arthur Grinde, mother, Peggy Jane Grinde, and sister, Gail Grinde.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 13, 1949, her family moved to Arkansas when she was an infant. She graduated from Fuller High School in 1967, moved back to Missouri and attended both the University of Missouri and, later, Truman University, where she graduated in 1971.

She is survived by her husband Don Griffin of Little Rock, her sister Cynthia G. Nassim, MD (Ben) of Indianapolis, IN, and two brothers, Mark and Kent Grinde (Joni) of Kirksville, Missouri. Nieces and nephews who adored her are Soraya Tabibi Aguirre, John Grinde, Meg Grinde, Luke Grinde (d. 2012), Drake Grinde, Adria Nassim and Janelle Nassim, MD. She was also cherished by stepsons, Glen Griffin (Davis) and Stephen Griffin (Jill), five grandchildren, and her best friends, Wilsie Griffin and Vickie Grinde.

Marcia was a talented jewelry artist and gardener. She loved doing art shows and tending to her flowers and rose gardens in her more vibrant years. She loved bright colors, pink lipstick and always had pretty artsy vases in her beautiful home full of flowers. She spent her final days in her own home, facing the windows overlooking the deck which offered her a view of the flowers, trees and birds and a connection to life and nature.

Expressions of sympathy may be made by contributing to a favorite charity or planting flowers or a tree in her honor.
