Mamie Hammonds
Mamie Hammonds, age 93, of Gurdon, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia. She was born January 20, 1923 in the Vaden community to the late Charlie and Mollie Catlett McClure.
Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Hammonds; two sons, Richard Hammonds and Henry Hammonds; two brothers, Frank McClure and Bill McClure.
Survivors are four sons, Shorty Hammonds, William Hammonds, Lewis Hammonds and Don Hammonds; one daughter, Cindy Taylor; one sister, Ivy Scott; nineteen grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-4 pm Sunday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Monday, August 1st at Easley Cemetery near Gurdon with Bro. Chris Williams officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Easley Cemetery Fund.
