Major Philip A. Wise, 40, of Maumelle, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2009. He was a man of few words, avid Dallas Cowboys and West Virginia Mountaineers fan, loving husband, father and pastor. He served proudly as a Salvation Army Officer spreading the Gospel.
He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Major Cindy Wise; three children, Vincent, Dorothy and Thomas; mother, Dorthy Wise of Weirton, West Virginia; two sisters, Jeannie St. Clair and husband Brett of Hagerstown, Maryland; Patty Monk of Palmyra, Pennsylvania; one brother, Ancel Greg Wise and wife Leslie of Empire, Ohio; three nephews; four nieces; uncle, Harley Wise; aunt, Sue Boring; and several cousins and extended family. Philip was preceded in death by his father, Ancel Cloy Wise; brother, Thomas Wise; grandparents, Clifton and Verna Ritter; grandmother, Garnett Wise; aunt, Betty Wise; and uncle, Larry Boring.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Salvation Army's of North Little Rock Corps for Youth Music Program, 1505 West 18th Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at 1st Assembly of God Church, North Little Rock. Burial will be in Center Point Christian Church Cemetery, Center Point, West Virginia.
