Maime Delahoussay

Maime Grace Dobbins Delahoussay, 86, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009. She was born January 11, 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Robert and Louise Rainey Dobbins. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church.
Grace was a very talented singer and performed with several bands in the 1940's and 1950's. She was a singer up until her passing in the choir at Presbyterian Village. Her love and appreciation for music was a gift she passed on to all of her children.
She is survived by her sons, Tony Delahoussay (Jane) of Little Rock, Frank Bonner (Gayle) of California and Robert Boers of Missouri; daughter, Paula Scarborough of California; brothers, Alfred Dobbins, Neil Dobbins (Regina) and Tracy Dobbins, all of Little Rock; sister, Ida Kennedy of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Harry Joseph Delahoussay; brothers, Robert Dobbins, Don Dobbins, and Billy Dobbins; sisters, Nell Archie, Gladys Gardner and Halcyon Hiller; and grandchild, Michael.
Rosary will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., (NW Corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, 1003 N. Tyler Street, Little Rock, with Monsignor Royce R. Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Little Rock National Cemetery alongside her husband, Harry.
