Mack Walker

Mack S. Walker, 86, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, AR.

Mack was born May 16, 1931 in Rector, Arkansas, the only child of Burl and Lillian Walker.

During his childhood, Mack lived in California, Minnesota, and Missouri. He returned to Rector, Arkansas where he graduated high school. Mack earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri and was a military veteran, serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

Mack was a career salesman. He worked for KTHV channel 11 in Little Rock as general sales manager in the 60's and 70's. He ultimately retired from The Prudential Life Insurance Company, where he worked as both an agent and manager. Mack was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church, its Open Door Sunday School Class, and Past Master of the Pulaski Heights Masonic Lodge # 673. His favorite pastime was deer hunting and was a member of Cooper Hunting Club where he hunted with his father-in-law Roy Ulmer and son Scott. He developed a passion for barbecuing and became quite the BBQ pit master whose ribs and sauce weren't world famous...but should have been.

Mack is survived by his loving wife, Diane, whom he married in 1966, his only son, Scott, and his granddaughters, Alexandra and Victoria, who reside in Maumelle.
