Chief Master Sergeant Mack Lee “Barney” Landers was born on December 2, 1933 in New Edinburg, AR, and departed this life on March 5, 2025. He was 91 years old.

Chief Landers served in the US Air Force and the Arkansas Air National Guard for a combined total of 42 years. He was the Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Arkansas Air National Guard upon retirement. In addition to his military service, he worked for the Department of Finance and Administration.

He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of North Little Rock where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Morie Landers; two sisters, Geneva Everwright and Fern Kleinbeck, and a brother, Raymond Cox.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Patricia White Landers; three children, Tim (Kim) Landers of Southside, AR, Debbie (Mark) Stripling of North Little Rock, AR, and Jon (Sherrie) Landers of North Little Rock, AR; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Some of Mack’s greatest joys were supporting his grandchildren in all of their endeavors and making friends everywhere he went. He was a giving soul who loved to help people and was known to enjoy a piece of chocolate pie virtually every day. He had a great sense of humor and knew how to have fun. We look forward to rejoicing together in glory and would love to have you join us in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
