Macel Matthews
Macel Kathryn Matthews, 99 of North Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010. She was a member of Graves Memorial Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Arkansas. She retired from UAMS where she worked as an admissions clerk. In the past she was very active at North Heights Senior Center, where she was known as their "sunshine girl".
She is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara (Raymond) Kresse, and Patricia Sperry, both of North Little Rock; 1 son, Robert Lewis, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Swicegood, one sister, and two brothers.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Edgewood Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170.
