Mable Sanders

B. Mable Sanders, 90, of North Little Rock, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant, Arkansas. Mrs. Sanders was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on July 31, 1918 to the late Bert and Lucy Johnson. Prior to retirement in 1987, she was employed with the North Little Rock Public Schools for 35 years. She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rose City.
Mrs. Sanders was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Dennis; her sister Ruth Odell; one brother, Paul Johnson; one grandson, Roy Hall. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth White and husband, Jim; Kathleen Green and husband, Gary Thornton; two sons, David Sanders and wife, Alberta, and Charles Sanders and wife, Martha; a brother, Johnny Johnson and wife, Clara. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 5025 Lynch Drive, North Little Rock, AR., 72117.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Edgewood Memorial Park located at 42nd and Division Street in North Little Rock with Bro. Heath Clower officiating. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
