Mable Forrest Seelinger peacefully went to her Heavenly Home on September 1, 2023, in Little Rock, AR. She was born on November 16, 1938, in Harrisburg, AR to W.J. and Maxine Forrest. Mable was known for her faith in God, her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, her dedication to serving others and her love of singing. She sang with the AR Master Singers, her church choir and at more weddings and funerals than can be counted.
Mable had a fulfilling life that touched the lives of many people around her. She dedicated 63 years of love and companionship to her beloved husband Charles Seelinger. They enjoyed traveling and many camping trips together. Their marriage was an image of pure love and commitment, serving as an inspiration to all who witnessed their journey.
Mable was a loving and caring mother to her daughter Melissa Forrest Seelinger and her sons Mat Seelinger and wife Regina, Keith Seelinger and wife Angie, and Philip Seelinger and wife Kim.
Her ten grandchildren Mason, Payton, Carson, Erin and Turner Seelinger, Kasey Thomason, Jessica Mauthe, Morgan Garland, Bailee Motto and Erika Thompson were the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating precious memories that will forever be treasured by the family. Additionally, Mable took great joy in her 17 great-grandchildren, finding immense happiness in their presence.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Max. She leaves behind her sister Carolyn Jones and husband Chuck, sister Jackie Wiggs and husband Roy, as well as brother Jay Forrest and wife Tammy.
Mable was a wonderful cook. She prepared the Wednesday evening meals at her church for many years and was known for her famous rolls. She worked as a cafeteria manager for the Pulaski County Special School District before retiring.
Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation service, which will be held on September 5, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Sherwood located at 701 Country Club Rd, Sherwood, AR, 72120. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Sherwood's Music Ministry.
