M. Godwin
Marion Ross "M.R." Godwin, 83, of Hot Springs, passed away February 8, 2015. Born in Hot Springs to Alfred Henry Godwin and Clara Mae Beason Godwin, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his son, Mark Godwin of Little Rock, numerous nieces and nephews, especially, Ross Godwin, and special friend, Linda McNeill. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Christine Godwin, and brothers, Dean and Danny Godwin.
"M.R." was a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, a CPA, past president of the Federal Home Loan Board in Dallas and of First Federal Savings and Loan. He loved tennis and was a one-time Volvo Tennis Senior Champion. He also loved golf and his golf buddies at Eden Isle and Little Rock Country Club.
In keeping with "M.R.'s" wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
