L. V. Brown age 92 of Bismarck died Friday February 4, at home. He was born September 17, 1918. He was a WWII veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge, a retired textile worker for a sewing factory, working with his wife for 51 years, and a member of the Oak Bower Church of Christ. He loved to garden and make jokes, and will be missed dearly by friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Mattie Brown, one son Richard Brown, wife Amy, all of Bismarck, one daughter Sue Estes of Oregon. He is predeceased by one son Perry Brown, and two sisters, Virginia Hardage, and Hazel Sanders.
Graveside Services will be 1:00 Tuesday February 8, 2011 in the Oak Bower Cemetery in Bismarck, with the Rev. Gary Thornton officiating. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 Monday evening in the Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Murphy, Mike Kidder, Jimmy Yancy, Gary Burrough, Wilburn Wilson, and Rush Morrison.
