Luke Short

Luke H. Short, 48, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Little Rock. Mourning his loss are family members, wife Vicki; daughter Stormy; parents, Becky and Jim; sister Lisa (Sammy) Lee; and step-grandfather, Dink Wilkerson. Luke was a 1985 graduate of UAMS. He was an anesthesiologist and enjoyed his profession. He won the Drips Award for best resident at Fort Sam Houston, Texas where his residency was completed, and was currently residing in Ft. Smith, Arkansas with his family. He was preceded in death by one son, Calvin Short; grandparents Dewitt Henry and Geneva Wilkerson, Dewey and Ruby Fields.
Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, followed by a memorial service at 2:30.
