Lucille Jeanette Yates age 94 of Bismarck died Friday, February 15, 2013 in Arkadelphia. She was born December 24, 1918 in Fulton, Arkansas the daughter of the late William Andrew and Josie Loraine Letsinger Veazey. She was a faithful member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church at Bismarck and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Leon Yates; a son, Dwight Andrew Yates; three sisters, Dorothy Malone, Nora McCoy and Alma Hill; four brothers, William A., William K., Charles C. and Patrick Veazey; four brother-in-laws, Warren, Roy, Sherman and Milton Yates; and one sister-in-law, Juanita Thomasson.

Survivors are two daughters, Deneice A. O'Brien and husband, Doc of Willis, Texas, Evelyn Harrison and husband, Robert David of Denham Springs, LA; one sister, Mary Lou Scharf and husband, Fred of Tulsa OK; one brother, Robert L. Veazey and wife, Patricia of Magnet Cove, AR; seven grandchildren, Robin, Sean, Laura, Mark, Brandi, Sean and Sean Randle; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; five sister-in laws, Theresa Yates and Rebecca Yates both of Baton Rogue, LA, Louise Yates and Bess Jackson both of Bismarck and Vera Downs of Arkadelphia.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 19th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Bro. Mike Harmon officiating. Interment will be in DeRoche Cemetery near Bismarck. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
