Lucille King

Lucille Marie King of North Little Rock passed away July 18, 2016. The daughter of John Vorster and Mary Fisher Vorster, she was born April 9, 1920 in Paris, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty six years Charles D. King and survived by her children Rebecca King Lennon and spouse Jim and Charles D. King, Jr. "Danny"; her grandchildren James Bryan Lennon and Heather Katherine O'Dea and eight great grandchildren. Retired from Farmers Home Administration she was an avid bridge player and active volunteer. In 1990 she received the Governor's Volunteer Excellence award and in 2010 was inducted into the North Little Rock Senior Citizens Hall of Fame in recognition of her service to others. She was a past president of A.B.W.A., member of Catholic Daughters of America and a twenty five year volunteer at the North Little Rock Shepherd Center.
Visitation and Rosary, Friday July 22nd at 6:00 pm at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Saturday, July 23rd 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Little Rock Shepherd Center or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
