Loydene "Little" Ethel Henry Owen, age 89, of Little Rock went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 25, 2010, at home surrounded by her daughters and son-in-law. She was born near Ralston, Oklahoma on October 31, 1920 to Loyd and Hazel Cales Henry. She moved to Oklahoma City and lived there most of her life. Mrs. Owen attended Our Lord's Community Church in Oklahoma City until she moved to Little Rock in 2002 at which time she began attending Fellowship Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. S. Owen, parents, sister, Viola Owen, and son-in-law, John Neaves,
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Neaves, of Little Rock and Donna Simonson (Mike) of Tulsa; five grandchildren, David Neaves (Lori) of Maryland, Heather Richardson (Todd) of Little Rock, Todd Simonson (EeLing) of Chicago, Jessica Brogdon (Bryan ) of Tulsa, and Stacey Fowler (Mike) of Tulsa; seven great grandchildren, Christopher, Katie, Nicholas, Camryn, Jade, Ricky, and Olivia; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.) with Rev. Gayle Bone and Chaplain Hope Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 26, 2010 at the funeral home.
