Lowell Joe Underwood, 84, of Little Rock and Mabelvale, died August 21, 2019. He was born August 12, 1935 to Nellie Violet and Robert Ephraim Underwood of Lepanto, Arkansas. Joe graduated in 1953 from Bragg City High School in Bragg City, Missouri and received his B.S. from Arkansas State University in 1958.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Betty Bush Underwood; three children, Jill Ogles, her husband, John and their sons, William and Patrick, Amy (William Ashcraft, known as #1) and Lowell Joseph Underwood, his daughter, Anna Claire, his wife, Ann and her son, Copter; and a special family friend, Noah Ashby. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Jack Underwood.
A celebration of Joe's life will be held Sunday, August 25 at 3:00 p.m., preceded by visitation beginning at 2:00, at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.).
