Louise Carpenter

Louise Carpenter, age 78, of Glenwood, died Monday, January 5, 2015. She was born on June 5, 1936 at Haworth, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ike Hammer and Jessie Lee Hildebrand Hammer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn "Doc" Carpenter. She is survived by two sons, James Caldwell of Topeka, Kansas and Bill Caldwell of Glenwood; one daughter, Glennda Carpenter of Glenwood; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joann Gilley of Mena. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 16, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Phillip Miller officiating. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
