Louise Baber

Frances Louise Spivey Baber was born on the 17th of April, 1920 in Hamburg, AR. She was the daughter of John William Spivey and Helen Welsh Spivey. She graduated from Hamburg high school and attended Arkansas A&M College in Monticello.

In 1939, she married Harold Truman Baber. They later moved to Arkadelphia, AR, where they lived most of their married life. Truman was employed by the Farm Bureau Insurance Company. Louise received a Bachelors and Masters degree in education from Henderson State University. She taught school in Arkadelphia and later retired from the Arkadelphia school system.

Louise moved to Little Rock in 1994 after the death of her husband and later moved to Russellville, AR in 2010.

Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Truman Baber, a son, Harold Truman Baber, Jr., a son, James Spivey Baber, who died in infancy, a brother, James R. Spivey, who died in WWII and a brother, John W. Spivey, Jr. of Hamburg, AR.

She is survived by a daughter, Helen Spivey Baber Dunn and husband, Donald L. Dunn of Russellville. She is survived by grandchildren; Lynna Louise Dunn Fuller and great granddaughter, Nola Grace Fuller of Bellingham, WA; Laura Elizabeth Dunn Lee and husband, Christopher A. Lee and great grandson's, Liam Christopher Lee, Benjamin Sawyer Lee and Wyatt Walker Lee, of Los Angeles, CA; grandson, Jonathan Baber of Houston, TX; granddaughter Roseanna Baber Hill and husband Jason Hill and great granddaughter Isabelle, of Washington D.C.

She is survived by many nephews and nieces who were especially dear to "Aunt Billie."

Appreciation is given to one Florene Alexander of Little Rock. Special appreciation is given to a nephew and wife John William Spivey III and wife Cathy for all of their love and time.

Louise was a member of Pulaski Heights Methodist Church and the Butler Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Foundation.
