Louis Zajac, Sr.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Louis John Zajac, Sr., 90, our loving and devoted father, grandfather, family and friend to all whose lives he touched. Louis passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at home surrounded by family. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a Sheet Metal/Pipe fitter at Union Pacific Railroad for 43 years. Louis was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Louis is survived by his daughter, Marsha (Joe) Cossich; son, John (Rhonda) Zajac, Jr.; proud grandfather of Marc Jr., Miranda, Ashton, Sydney and Alexis; a wonderful great-grandfather of Anthony, Noah, Matthew and soon-to-be, Dawson; and his special friend, Marilyn Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Annie Zajac; brothers, Sylvester, Carl, August and Edmund; sisters, Rosie and Angie; and a beloved grandson, Matthew Allen Ford.

A visitation will be held Sunday, December 19, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary service. Monday, December 20, a visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Peaceful Valley Cemetery in North Little Rock.
