Louis Paul Mitchell, 69, of Little Rock, passed away August 8, 2010. Born in Little Rock to James R. and Susan Bunch Mitchell, he worked for Russell Chevrolet for 22 years and was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
Louis was an avid body builder and competed in many body building competitions, including Mr. Arkansas and worked out at Powerhouse gym, which he considered his second home. He loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Sutton Mitchell; children, Shane Mitchell of Vilonia, Terry Brown of Haskell, Mecy Childers of Phoenix, Arizona, Michael Williams and Tammy Clark, both of Benton, Arkansas; brother, Phillip Mitchell of Little Rock; sister, Jami Ballard of Brunswick, Georgia; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Wednesday, August 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Larry Ballard, followed by interment in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
